Certified Medical Assistant and Medical Scribe (AAMA, NRCMA, CMA)

We are a heavy volume - fast paced Multi-Specialty Orthopedic office in Lancaster. We are looking for an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our Team. We hired a new pain management provider Dr. Scott Daniel and need to staff for this new provider. We are also in the hiring process for an additional orthopedic Trauma doctors to add to our team of growing surgeons.

Experience in Pain Management, Orthopedics, Wound Care, and Facial/Derm preferred.

Please note the following requirements BEFORE applying:

• Certification from a National Accreditation such as AAMA-American Association of Medical Assistants, NCCT -National Certified Medical Assistant, or NRMCA is required. We are not able to accept "Certificate of Graduation” from a Medical Assistant School as "Certified".
• Due to our patient demographic, Spanish speaking is PREFERRED.
• Travel to satellite offices will be required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Room and prepare patients either new or established to be seen by provider in a timely manner
• Perform vitals on patients, minor procedures, injections, blood draws.
• Ensure that all medication, physical therapy, imaging and/or any other orders are correct and given to patient
• Document all conversations relating to patient or patient care in patients chart.
• Keep exam rooms clean, sanitized and stocked on a daily basis

Qualifications and Skills

• Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred
• 1 year of on the job training in back office procedures
• Knowledge of Medical terminology and knowledge of CPT/ICD 10
• Ability to type accurately and comfortable with computers – experience with EMR/EHR
• Strict attention to detail and ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively
• Understand and observe legal concepts (e.g. HIPAA, confidentiality)
• Work under pressure, within time constraints. Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation.
• Exhibit a professional and positive demeanor.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend and stoop for prolonged periods of time, intermittently throughout an 8 hour shift.

Education and Experience:

• Medical Assistant certification required with 1 year Medical Assistant experience

Pay: $16.90 - $24.00 per hour
