We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our Cardiology team. This role involves providing essential support to healthcare professionals and ensuring high-quality patient care in our fast-paced clinics. The Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing clinical tasks, assisting with patient intake, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake procedures, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR)
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Ensure compliance with medical terminology and coding standards (ICD coding)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient service and care quality
- Uphold knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and geriatrics to provide comprehensive patient support
Skills
- Proficient in EHR systems for effective documentation and patient management
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to cardiology
- Experience in clinic settings
- Keen attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) techniques and emergency response protocols
- Ability to perform intake assessments accurately while demonstrating excellent patient service skills
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams

- Cardiology: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
