Certified Medical Assistant and Scribe

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our Cardiology team. This role involves providing essential support to healthcare professionals and ensuring high-quality patient care in our fast-paced clinics. The Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing clinical tasks, assisting with patient intake, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake procedures, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR)
• Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
• Ensure compliance with medical terminology and coding standards (ICD coding)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient service and care quality
• Uphold knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and geriatrics to provide comprehensive patient support

Skills

• Proficient in EHR systems for effective documentation and patient management
• Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to cardiology
• Experience in clinic settings
• Keen attention to detail
• Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) techniques and emergency response protocols
• Ability to perform intake assessments accurately while demonstrating excellent patient service skills
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams

Experience:

• Cardiology: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
• BLS Certification (Preferred)
