Job Overview
Our office is currently hiring one full-time certified or registered medical assistant. The right candidates for our office will be non-judgmental, trauma informed, and inclusive of people from all different cultures, ethnicities, sexual orientations, body types, and beliefs.
Daily Job Requirements - Clinical:
- Assists physicians, physician assistants and other medical staff by providing non-judgmental and trauma informed patient care.
- Supports patient check in through telehealth
- Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations.
- Cleans treatment rooms following patient examinations.
- Interviews patients to obtain their medical history.
- Records patient medical history, vital signs, and test results in patient medical files.
- Draws blood, removes sutures, changes dressings, administers medications by injection as well as immunizations, assist with GYN and Primary Care procedures
- Helps maintain supplies and equipment.
- Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment and instruments.
- Assists providers during examination by handing over instruments and materials.
- Phone triage.
- Sending in prescriptions and refills as approved by provider, or communicating with pharmacies as needed.
- Relays test results and medical advice to patients with provider approval.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree or diploma from an accredited trade school
- Experience: 3 years of related experience in Primary Care or Gynecology preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: CPR and first aid certification required
- Certified as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
