Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Job Overview
Our office is currently hiring one full-time certified or registered medical assistant. The right candidates for our office will be non-judgmental, trauma informed, and inclusive of people from all different cultures, ethnicities, sexual orientations, body types, and beliefs.

Daily Job Requirements - Clinical:

• Assists physicians, physician assistants and other medical staff by providing non-judgmental and trauma informed patient care.
• Supports patient check in through telehealth
• Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Cleans treatment rooms following patient examinations.
• Interviews patients to obtain their medical history.
• Records patient medical history, vital signs, and test results in patient medical files.
• Draws blood, removes sutures, changes dressings, administers medications by injection as well as immunizations, assist with GYN and Primary Care procedures
• Helps maintain supplies and equipment.
• Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment and instruments.
• Assists providers during examination by handing over instruments and materials.
• Phone triage.
• Sending in prescriptions and refills as approved by provider, or communicating with pharmacies as needed.
• Relays test results and medical advice to patients with provider approval.

Job Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's degree or diploma from an accredited trade school
• Experience: 3 years of related experience in Primary Care or Gynecology preferred
• Licenses/Certifications: CPR and first aid certification required
• Certified as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
