Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical procedures, patient care, and medical administrative support, with experience across. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality service.
Duties
- Review all incoming medication with client
- Complete TB Testing for New Employees
- Be present with Medical Director/Designee during physicals
- Assess Need for walk-in/emergency room visits and review with Healthcare Supervisor
- Follow up with any visits to walk in and ER
- Obtain records from prior medical/mental health facilities as needed for continuity of care
- Have contact with ordering physicians on medications to verify medication regimen and any discontinued medication
- Advocate for client with primary care physician, providing updated information on current medications prescribed and follow up care after treatment.
- Travel to other locations for review of medications, noting all inconsistencies.
- Review E-Mar to verify correct medications/times/dosages
- Ensure Medication education has been scheduled/completed for all newly prescribed medication
- Discuss concerns of client’s biomedical issues with clinical staff via alert
- Obtain drug screens
- Obtain labs via phlebotomy
- Ensure Vital signs are taken per facility protocol
- Ensures updated COWS/CIWA are obtained per protocol
- Administer injectable medications as prescribed
- Make medications available for clients as prescribed for self-administration.
Required:
- Valid certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is required.
- Valid Driver's License.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
