Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

We are a small Family Medicine practice seeking a dependable and motivated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This position offers flexibility, but also requires flexibility from the employee, as hours will vary depending on the scheduling needs of the week.

We are committed to providing high-quality care to all of our patients. In addition to routine primary care, we also work with service members, providing physicals, vision and hearing exams, blood draws, immunizations, and other clinical services.

Responsibilities:

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical history
• Assist the provider with exams, procedures, and clinical tasks
• Perform blood draws, injections, and immunizations
• Conduct vision and hearing exams
• Prepare patients for visits and ensure they are comfortable and informed
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and stocked supplies
• Support patient flow and overall clinic operations
• Provide professional, compassionate patient care

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Phlebotomy experience preferred
• Clinical experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to varying daily workloads
• Flexible availability based on weekly scheduling needs
• Experience with athenahealth (EHR) preferred
• Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
