Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative and clinical tasks to support healthcare professionals
- Assist with patient intake, including taking vital signs and documenting medical history
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and collect specimens
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care
- Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and X-rays as needed
- Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and medications
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficient in medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred
- Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Skills:
- Medication administration
- Physiology knowledge
- Medical administrative support
- X-Ray experience
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Inhalation therapy knowledge
- Proficiency in taking vital signs
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
