Primary Care Physicians offices seeks Medical Assistant or Nurse Assistant role, to assist with patient workflow, point of care testing, and front office staff duties at a Bible-Based, holistic, primary care medical office. Must be timely, teachable, have a good temperment, and be a team player. Role requires training in all front desk and clinical support areas, and is especially good at drawing blood. The right candidate would demonstrate excellence, attention to detail, kindness, integrity, professionalism, emotional maturity, and organizational skills. Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete provided orders per provider including but not limited to blood draws, vaccination management and administration, proper transfer of specimens to local labs
- Take instruction from and report updates to clinical lead/treating physician
- Vitals, screenings, and accurate detailed clinical intake of patients including updating medical records, HPI (history of present illness), ROS (Review of Systems), and potentially scribing of physical exam with assessment and plan under physician guidance
- Check-In Patients, Check-Out Patients, answer calls and patient cases, verify patient demographics, insurance verification, and schedule patients.
- Provide emotional support to patients and patients’ families as well as listening to concerns and providing feedback.
- Managing staff and physician EHR (Electronic Health Record) inbox including patient correspondence, prescription refills, labs results, resulting messaging to patients per physician supervision, guidance, and protocols, etc.
- Ensuring daily patient flow via timely rooming and discharging of patients in addition to assist the provider with examinations, procedures, and other duties
- Ensuring rooms are kept clean and sterile with daily preparation of the rooms at the end of each day.
- Pre-visit planning and procedure preparation
- Quality Measures, and HEDIS tracking and completion.
- Follow office flow efficiency, OSHA, and JACHO standards
- Assist patients as needed with walking, transfer, specimen collection, exam preparation, etc.
- Complete patient referrals, patient callbacks, prior authorizations
- Phone triage for patient calls and appropriate reporting with documentation
- Ensuring all voicemails are addressed on the same day or within 24 hrs
- Following state and federal mandated standards and procedures

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistant or Nursing training. (High school certification programs are acceptable)
- Current state MA, CMA, CCMA, or NA, CNA and BLS/CPR certification
- 2+ years - Phlebotomy, speciman collection and Accurate Lab Processing
- Maintain CEU/CMEs as applicable for licensure
