Job Title: Specialized Procedural Wound Care Medical Assistant - UltraMist Specialist

We are hiring a Procedural Medical Assistant for a highly specialized, field-based role focused on advanced wound therapy using UltraMist (non-contact ultrasound treatment).
This is not a traditional MA position. This role is designed for someone who wants to be hands-on in procedural care, build advanced clinical skills, and operate with a high level of independence and trust.
You will function as a mobile clinical specialist, delivering care across home, facility, and clinic settings, while coordinating with multiple provider teams. Your work will directly impact healing outcomes, infection prevention, and overall quality of care.

Core ResponsibilitiesProcedural & Clinical Duties
- Perform UltraMist therapy treatments as ordered by providers
- Complete wound assessments, including measurements, tissue characteristics, and drainage
- Perform and document dressing changes with precision and adherence to care plans
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist providers as needed
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound care and treatment expectations
- Coordinate care with providers and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization standards
Documentation & Charting (Critical to Role)
- Complete highly detailed, accurate, and timely clinical documentation for every visit
- Clearly document:
- Wound characteristics and progression
- Treatments performed (including UltraMist therapy details)
- Patient response and tolerance
- Education and care coordination
- Ensure documentation meets clinical, regulatory, and billing standards
- Collaborate with providers, who will review and sign all notes
This role requires strong attention to detail. Your documentation will directly support patient care, compliance, and reimbursement.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation
- Coordinate referrals, imaging, and follow-up care
- Schedule and manage visits across multiple locations
- Manage and stock clinical supplies

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- CNA or CMA certification required
- Experience in wound care, home health, or procedural settings is a plus, but not required for the right candidate

Compensation & Benefits
- $22.00 – $28.00 per hour, based on experience
- Mileage reimbursement at $0.55 per mile
