Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care while supporting clinical and administrative functions across diverse medical settings. Duties

  • Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems)
  • Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision and professionalism
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout their visit
  • Support physicians with clinical tasks including medication administration, wound care, and specimen collection
  • Perform basic diagnostic procedures such as X-ray imaging and assist with emergency medicine protocols when necessary
  • Document patient encounters accurately using ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to ensure proper billing and record-keeping
  • Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards and hospital protocols
  • Provide medical administrative support by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and coordinating follow-up care

Requirements

  • Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program with current certification status
  • Proven experience in outpatient clinics or hospital environments, preferably within dermatology, internal medicine, or urgent care settings
  • Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology essential for effective patient care
  • Hands-on experience with EHR systems for documentation and data entry
  • Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and efficiently in inpatient or outpatient settings
  • Familiarity with ICD coding, medication administration protocols, and basic life support (BLS) certification required
  • Prior experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers or emergency medicine environments is highly desirable
  • Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric intensive care units (PICU)
  • Ability to adapt quickly in high-pressure situations such as hospital medicine or urgent care scenarios
