Medical Assistant and Scribe

Northern Arizona Dermatology Center is the largest dermatology group providing services to residents in Northern Arizona. We are recruiting for a Medical Assistant and Scribe for our Cottonwood office. The position is full-time and reports to the Medical Staff Supervisor and Physicians

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with a current certification or willing to obtain with in 90 days of employment.
• Excellent clinical competency and knowledge of sterile technique
• Ability to multi-task and take direction from physician
• Efficient in charting in electronic health record (EHR)
• Emphasis on quality care and patient satisfaction
• Prior experience in Dermatology beneficial or will train for dermatology specialty

Position Highlights:

• Greet and room patients and complete intake (HPI)
• Assist with dermatologic procedures such as skin biopsies, ED&C, and minor surgeries
• dressing changes, remove sutures, and perform patch testing
• Document patient visits using EMR
• Provide patient education on diagnoses and treatment plans
• Handle incoming calls, prescription requests, and communicate biopsy results
• Maintain clean, organized and HIPPA-compliant work enviroment

What We're looking for:

• Prior experience in clinical setting, preferably dermatlogy
• Skilled in multitasking and staying organized in a fast paced enviroment
• Strong team player with a positive, professional attitude
• Punctional, reliable, and proactive in taking initiative
