A Bit of Love is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our dedicated team serving children and youth in a residential treatment setting. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the safety, stability, and well-being of children who have experienced trauma and require structured therapeutic care.

This position focuses on safe medication administration, health monitoring, and daily support for youth with diverse emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. Your work will directly contribute to creating a nurturing, consistent, and supportive environment where children can heal and grow.

Key ResponsibilitiesMedication & Health Support

  • Safely administer prescribed medications following physician orders, Idaho regulations, and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Accurately document medication administration and resident responses in approved EMR/EHR systems.
  • Monitor vital signs and observe for changes in physical or emotional health.
  • Communicate concerns promptly to nursing staff and leadership.

Daily Care & Youth Support

  • Assist youth with activities of daily living, including hygiene, routines, and health-related tasks.
  • Support children with emotional regulation and provide trauma-informed care.
  • Help maintain a calm, structured, and nurturing home environment.
  • Ensure medication and health routines are integrated smoothly into daily programming.

Documentation & Team Collaboration

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation.
  • Collaborate with therapists, case managers, nurses, and residential staff to support individualized care plans.
  • Follow all state licensing standards and facility policies.

Qualifications & SkillsRequired

  • Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification (Idaho or eligible).
  • Experience working in residential care, behavioral health, healthcare, or youth services preferred.
  • Knowledge of medication administration and medical documentation practices.
  • Ability to take and record vital signs accurately.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Preferred Experience

  • Working with children or adolescents.
  • Trauma-informed care.
  • Experience using EMR/EHR systems.
