Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications accurately following physician orders and established protocols
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to assess patient health status
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, mobility, and nutrition support
- Maintain detailed medical documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior promptly to nursing staff or supervisors
- Provide specialized care such as catheter care, tube feeding assistance, and memory care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and medical records at all times
- Support patients during hospice or palliative care by offering compassionate assistance aligned with their needs
- Food Prep and cooking with specified recipes
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in accordance with state regulations
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration procedures
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation
- Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or working within memory care units is highly desirable
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, transferring residents safely, and providing personal care
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical record-keeping standards
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and families
