We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional patient care across various healthcare settings. Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Support patients with medication administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver comprehensive patient care in acute care, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), emergency medicine, or post-acute settings.
- Document patient observations thoroughly in medical records while respecting HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality.
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care or phlebotomy as trained and authorized.
- Support patients with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs by applying compassionate caregiving techniques.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure personalized care plans are followed effectively.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
- Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings.
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support (BLS) procedures.
- Experience with specialized care areas such as ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), hospice care, or pediatric units like PICU is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting equipment like Hoyer lifts and assistive devices safely and effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work compassionately with patients of all ages and backgrounds—including those with disabilities or behavioral health challenges.
