Certified Nursing Assistant

Duties

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility, including the safe operation of Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
  • Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks
  • Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
  • Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support
  • Assist with complex clinical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, aseptic techniques, and infection control practices in accordance with hospital protocols
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or ICU units to deliver patient-centered care aligned with physiology knowledge and medical terminology standards
  • Support patients during transfers using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids while maintaining safety protocols for both patient and caregiver

Experience

  • Valid certification as a CNA with current licensure in the state of practice
  • Home Care Experience
  • Prior experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care settings
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and patient records management
  • Experience providing care for individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs; familiarity with dementia or memory care is highly valued
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards to ensure patient privacy at all times

Job Types: Part-time, PRN

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 20 per week
