Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Support medical procedures by preparing patients and assisting healthcare professionals with tasks such as phlebotomy, catheter care, and aseptic techniques
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or behavioral health needs to enhance their well-being
- Maintain a safe environment by using equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensuring infection control protocols are followed diligently
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care in settings such as ICU, emergency departments, or post-acute care facilities
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold confidentiality in all medical documentation and records management
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification with current state licensure or registration required
- Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, or outpatient clinics
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient care activities
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support (BLS) procedures
- Prior experience with specialized care such as ICU, hospice, infectious disease management, or memory/dementia care is highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities across various settings including home & community care or assisted living
- Strong caregiving skills complemented by excellent communication abilities and a compassionate approach to patient service
