Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals across various settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Support medication administration under supervision and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory impairments, or behavioral health needs through compassionate engagement and tailored interventions.
  • Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care or wound management to prevent infection.
  • Assist with medical procedures like phlebotomy or specimen collection when trained and certified.
  • Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare team members in acute care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers, ensuring seamless patient service across inpatient and outpatient environments.
  • Support patients with developmental disabilities or those requiring hospice or palliative care by delivering respectful and empathetic assistance aligned with their individual care plans.

Qualifications

  • Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations.
  • Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU, emergency medicine, OR), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care settings.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS).
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation.
  • Prior experience with specialized care areas such as dementia care, behavioral health, infectious disease management or sub-acute care is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages including pediatrics and geriatrics; experience working with children is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate caregiving attitude; ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments like urgent care or trauma centers. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Per diem

Pay: $20.00 - $22.25 per hour
