Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate team. In this vital role, you will provide essential hands-on care to patients across various settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help foster a trusting environment where patients feel cared for and respected.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Support medication administration under supervision in accordance with healthcare protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques.
- Support patients with complex needs in various settings including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments.
- Follow aseptic techniques and infection control procedures to ensure patient safety and hygiene.
Skills
- Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS).
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Epic.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy and catheter care when required.
- Experience in acute care environments including ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is a plus.
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on geriatrics, pediatrics, or post-acute care settings.
