Job Summary
MCO Homecare Services LLC is currently seeking a dependable and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant — CNA / Home Care Aide to provide personal care and support services to clients in their homes in Douglasville, GA 30135 and surrounding communities.
The CNA / Home Care Aide will assist clients with activities of daily living, companionship, safety monitoring, mobility support, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and other care needs according to the client’s care plan.
This position is ideal for someone who is caring, reliable, organized, patient, and passionate about helping seniors and individuals with disabilities remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.
Responsibilities
The CNA / Home Care Aide may be responsible for the following duties:
Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
Assist with mobility, walking, transfers, repositioning, and fall-prevention support
Provide companionship and emotional support
Assist with meal preparation and nutritional needs according to the client’s care plan
Provide medication reminders, if allowed by the care plan and agency policy
Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment
Support clients with errands or appointments, if assigned and approved
Monitor and report changes in the client’s condition, behavior, or environment
Report safety concerns, falls, injuries, refusals of care, or unusual changes immediately
Follow the client’s care plan and agency policies at all times
Document care provided accurately and timely after each shift or visit
Review and complete care logs, notes, and required documentation as assigned
Maintain client confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
Communicate professionally with clients, families, office staff, supervisors, and care team members
Participate in required skills testing, competency reviews, and annual evaluations
Perform other duties as assigned within CNA / caregiver scope of practice
Requirements / Qualifications
Current CNA certification preferred or required based on assignment
Previous experience as a CNA, PCA, Home Health Aide, or caregiver required
CPR and First Aid certifications required
Updated negative TB test required; if TB test is positive, a cleared chest X-ray is required
Must be able to pass a background check
Must have reliable transportation
Valid driver’s license or valid identification required
Must be dependable, professional, organized, and compassionate
Must be able to follow a written care plan
Must be able to complete and submit documentation accurately and timely
Must be comfortable working independently in client homes
Must have strong communication skills
Must be able to assist with physical tasks such as walking, transferring, repositioning, and lifting as needed
Must be respectful, patient, and able to work with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and clients with different care needs
Experience with dementia care, memory care, hospice support, or personal care is a plus
Bilingual is a plus, but not required
Preferred Experience
Home care or home health experience
Experience assisting seniors or individuals with disabilities
Experience with bathing, dressing, transfers, and mobility support
Experience with dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory care, or hospice clients
Experience using electronic visit verification or electronic documentation systems
Schedule
PRN / as needed
Part-time hours available, approximately 12–35+ hours per week based on client needs
Flexible scheduling based on client and agency needs
Day, evening, weekend, and fill-in shifts may be available
Travel to client homes required
