Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering exceptional patient care across various healthcare settings, including long-term care, hospitals, and community-based services. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing vital support and assistance under the supervision of nursing professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring proper documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Support patients with medication administration as directed by nursing staff and ensure adherence to medication protocols.
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound care, and phlebotomy when trained and authorized to do so.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by following infection control procedures and aseptic techniques in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in specialized areas such as dementia care, memory care units, or behavioral health settings to meet individual patient needs.
- Utilize patient service skills to provide compassionate support for individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring hospice or palliative care.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
- Prior experience working in healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU, emergency medicine, trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and records management is an advantage.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, basic anatomy, physiology, and HeartSaver FirstAid, CPR and AED.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders.
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting equipment like Hoyer lifts and assistive devices safely and effectively.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
