Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
- Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Support medication administration under supervision, following strict aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or memory impairments, including memory care activities and behavioral health support
- Assist with clinical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy (blood draws), and wound care in various settings including hospitals with Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers
- Support emergency response efforts in urgent or critical situations by applying basic life support (BLS) skills and assisting with patient stabilization
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in environments like intensive care units (ICU), pediatric units (PICU), or post-acute care facilities to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification in good standing with relevant state licensing requirements
- Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU and emergency medicine), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care settings
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices including aseptic technique
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation
- Experience caring for individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs; experience with dementia or Alzheimer’s care is highly valued
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings like trauma centers or urgent care clinics while maintaining attention to detail and compassion
- Strong communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with healthcare teams and communicate effectively with patients of all ages including pediatrics and geriatrics
