Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and experience working in diverse clinical settings. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while adhering to all regulatory standards.
Duties
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Accurately document patient information within electronic health record systems such as Point Click Care (PCC).
- Ensure proper techniques and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support, if needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during patient interactions.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to identify changes in resident conditions and communicate effectively regarding care needs.
- Support residents in rehabilitation activities.
Skills
- Experienced preferred in long-term care or assisted living communities.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical strength and dexterity using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices including aseptic technique and infectious disease care protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient service delivery and teamwork within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
