We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our vibrant healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
- Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support medication reminders following proper protocols and documentation standards while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Perform medical documentation accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to ensure seamless record-keeping
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral management strategies
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with laundry, cleaning duties, meal preparation, and ensuring infection control standards are met
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care tailored to individual needs and disabilities
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a CNA or PCA from an accredited program; experience in nursing homes or long-term care settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in Alzheimer’s/memory care environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation
- Current CPR certification and training in hospice or dementia care are advantageous
- Ability to work effectively with patients requiring assistance with ADLs and complex medical needs
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude towards patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Willingness to work in various settings including live-in employment opportunities or community-based care environments
