Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team on a per diem basis. This role offers flexible, as-needed scheduling and is ideal for a motivated clinician who enjoys working independently while providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments and interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist

• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs)

• Instruct patients in therapeutic activities to enhance strength, coordination, and independence

• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates or concerns to the Occupational Therapist

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards

• Ensure a safe and supportive therapy environment

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• Current Texas COTA license (or eligibility)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively under supervision and independently

• Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or outpatient settings preferred

Employment Type

• Per Diem: Flexible, as-needed scheduling

• The starting hourly rate is $38.00 with adjustments made in accordance with the candidate’s experience level
