Duties
- Perform patient intake procedures including collecting medical histories, recording vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) with accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments across multiple specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, and surgical settings
- Administer medications and injections following proper protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, scheduling appointments, and facilitating smooth patient flow throughout the clinic or hospital department
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to support accurate clinical documentation and patient care
- Proficiency with EHR systems for documentation of patient encounters and procedures
- Ability to perform vital signs assessment, medication administration, ICD coding, and basic life support (BLS) certification is required
- Excellent communication skills to provide compassionate patient service while supporting clinical teams efficiently
- Knowledge of hospital procedures related to intake processes in inpatient settings or outpatient clinics ensures seamless patient experiences
