About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Certified Payroll Specialist to join our team in our Signal Hill office. This is a full-time, in-office position responsible for managing certified payroll reporting and ensuring compliance with prevailing wage requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with prevailing wage payroll and, preferably, experience in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage regulations.

- Review and process payroll for accuracy, including wages, fringe benefits, and deductions.

- Ensure compliance with Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage laws.

- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation for audits and reporting.

- Coordinate with project managers, HR, and accounting teams regarding payroll requirements on public works projects.

- Monitor labor classifications and wage determinations to ensure proper reporting.

- Assist with payroll audits and respond to agency inquiries when needed.

- Stay current with changes in prevailing wage regulations and certified payroll requirements.

- Assist with additional administrative tasks and support various projects as needed.

Qualifications

- Proven experience preparing certified payroll reports.

- Strong knowledge of prevailing wage requirements.

- Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred.

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Strong organizational and communication skills.

- Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
