We are currently looking for a highly motivated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced health care environment, have prior experience in a doctor's office and be comfortable working around needles. The successful candidate will be capable of completing administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and performing routine tasks like filing and copying. Additionally, the successful candidate will have an interest in furthering their career in primary care or pediatrics.

Responsibilities:

• Gather medical history, vital signs including use of manual scales and blood pressure, and other information required to provide basic medical support. CANDIDATE MUST BE FAMILIAR WITH THE GEORGIA REGISTRY OF IMMUNIZATION (GRITS) SYSTEM AND ALSO KNOW HOW TO ADMINISTER VACCINES AND HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF PEDIATRIC VACCINE SCHEDULE.
• Communicate with patients and their families.
• Administer injections and medications under the supervision of a doctor.
• Give patients instructions on how to care for themselves after they are discharged from the hospital.
• Educate patients on their health conditions and their treatment plan.
• Document observations in a nursing notebook or other records.
• Recognize basic symptoms and ailments.
• Punctuality and dependability a must

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
