CERTIFIED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Certified Pharmacy Technician (Retail + Compounding + Immunization)
Ashburn Pharmacy – Ashburn, VA
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience)

Ashburn Pharmacy is a growing independent community pharmacy focused on exceptional service, personalized care, and compounding services. We are seeking an experienced, certified pharmacy technician who is extremely friendly, patient-focused, and committed to helping patients find solutions.

This is NOT a typical chain pharmacy environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships with patients and finding ways to say “yes” whenever possible.

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician registration
• National certification (PTCB or ExCPT) REQUIRED
• Retail pharmacy experience REQUIRED
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented

Strongly Preferred

• Compounding experience (non-sterile)
• Immunization certification OR willingness to obtain
• Independent pharmacy experience
• PioneerRx experience (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

• Prescription data entry and processing
• Insurance billing and rejection resolution
• Customer service and patient interaction
• Answering phones and assisting patient requests
• Assisting pharmacist with workflow and dispensing
• Non-sterile compounding support
• Immunization workflow support
• Prior authorizations and refill coordination
• Inventory management and ordering
• Medication synchronization and patient outreach
