Certified Pharmacy Technician

About Us:

We are a fast-paced, patient-centric Interventional Pain Management practice with in-office procedure suites. Our team is dedicated to improving the quality of life through advanced interventional treatment, coordination of care, and exceptional patient service. This role is ideal for someone that has great attention to detail, works independently, and enjoys active communication with patients.

Responsibilities:

· Process medication refills for all patients, including controlled substances, timely and accurately

· Manage prior authorizations for medications and pain-related therapies

· Communicate with pharmacies, insurance companies, and providers to resolve medication issues timely and efficiently

· Maintain accurate documentation of communications, medications, and approvals

· Handle appeals, denials, and insurance follow-ups related to medications

· Assist in maintaining patient appointment schedules align with medication refill dates and assist with medication checks

· Review urine drug screens for patients to monitor compliance while communicating with providers regarding abnormalities

· Collaborate with clinical staff and providers to support treatment plans and protocols of the practice in relation to medications and interventional treatments

Qualifications:

· Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred

· Strong knowledge of prior authorizations and insurance processes

· Familiarity with EMR systems (eClinical Works experience a plus)

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Strong communication skills with emphasis on customer service ensuring a pleasurable experience for our patients

What We Offer:

· Monday – Thursday 8:30-5:30 and Friday 8:30-3:00

· No nights, weekends, or holidays

· Pay range $18-22 based on experience
