Traverse Health Clinic is actively seeking to fill a (Certified Preferred) Pharmacy Technician opportunity!
Work side by side with mission and team-driven team members performing critical functions serving our patients part of our onsite Clinic pharmacy newly in process of opening mid-summer within our uniquely, dual Primary Care & Behavioral Health Services, as well as having a medication assisted Recovery Program -- a community based, long-standing & engaged healthcare Clinic in Traverse City - one location!

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs duties and services consistent with education, training and certifications.
2. Assists pharmacist(s) with the preparation and dispensing of medications.
3. Manages and maintains medication inventory and restocking.
4. Labels and packages medications accurately.
5. Provides customer service and assists patients with questions.
6. Processes and enters prescription orders into the pharmacy system.
7. Ensures compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
8. Maintains patient records and ensures accuracy.
9. Assists in billing and insurance claim processing.
10. Operates and maintains pharmacy equipment.
11. Conducts routine audits to ensure medication accuracy.
12. Manages phone inquiries and correspondence.
13. Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
14. Maintains 340B compliance and takes part in related audits.
15. Demonstrates ability to be flexible and adapts to new processes and procedures.
16. Has ownership of their actions and works positively in a team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Basic math and computer skills.
3. Experience working in a pharmacy setting.
4. Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
5. Knowledge of pharmacy software systems.
6. Ability to handle confidential information.
7. Strong organizational skills.
8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Helpful and polite demeanor; ability to deal with difficult situations.
10. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks efficiently.
13. Must successfully pass an annual required background check.
14. Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
15. Ability to relate well with diverse populations of varying socio-economic backgrounds.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Immunization Certification.
2. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Licensed in the State of Michigan; if not, has the ability to enroll in a training program and gain licensure within 1 year from date of hire.
