Certified Pharmacy Technician - Order Entry

We are Infinity Pharmacy Specialty Services and we are looking for qualified individuals to join our pharmacy care team. We are a delivery based pharmacy specializing in Complex Care Pediatrics servicing the entire state of Texas. We are currently looking to hire Pharmacy Technicians.

The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 6:00PM and closed on the weekends and major holidays.

As a Pharmacy Technician, your duties would involve:

  • Answering inbound calls/making outbound calls to schedule upcoming patient medication deliveries
  • Review the appropriateness of the fill date of the prescription medications going out in patient deliveries
  • Effectively communicate the medications that coming out to the patient and when they should expect to receive them
  • Able to troubleshoot/answer any patient question or concern in a timely manner
  • Accurately document patient interactions via telephone in the patient note history section detailing required delivery information
  • Accurately types and process electronic prescriptions and medication orders in a timely manner
  • Print and separate prescription labels for all processed prescriptions in the daily batch
  • Accurately retrieves appropriate medication to be filled and placing them in the designated tote per patient
  • Accurately label and package medications including appropriate auxiliary labeling and refrigeration requirements in a timely manner to meet designated delivery cut off times
  • Accurately compounds medications following aseptic procedures efficiently
  • Appropriately packages compounded medications with appropriate labeling and refrigeration requirements
  • Tote, package, and ship medications to customers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Participation in the On Call After Hour Rotating Schedule (one week about every 6 weeks) to help assist our patient families when the pharmacy is not open

Qualifications:

  • Valid Pharmacy Technician registration/ certification for the State of Texas
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills including multi-tasking and time management
  • Strong analytical skills/problem solving skills
  • A self-directed and proactive team member who consistently takes initiative
  • Bilingual English/ Spanish helpful
  • Basic computer skills required (Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word preferred)
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
  • Must be capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour
