NTL Laboratory provides state-of-the-art medical laboratory tests and related services in Midwest regions of the United States through our Central Laboratory and Processing Center.

Phlebotomy Technician Opportunity for Certified Phlebotomist

-Operate medical equipment to safely collect blood from patients - Clearly explain the process of drawing blood to patients and calm any patients who might be nervous about the procedure. Perform safe venipuncture.

-Answer any questions about the procedure for the patient and provide additional sources of information when needed.

-Dress the wound left by the blood drawing.

-Register the blood in our systems and store specimens in appropriate location.

-Send blood samples to the testing laboratory.

-Organize blood samples and results that are returned after testing and updating patient records.

-Maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Job Type: Part-time in Kankakee IL

$18.00 - $20.00/hour commensurate with experience

Healthcare setting: Medical Facility located in Kankakee IL

Schedule: Monday through Saturday

License/Certification: Phlebotomy Certificate required

Valid Driver's License (Required)

Qualifications:

- Certified Phlebotomist with experience and knowledge in specimen collection
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
- Excellent patient care and customer service skills
