Expectations:

This position will work in both outpatient clinical and donor settings. This role is responsible for collecting blood samples for diagnostic testing and performing blood collection from volunteer donors.
In the donor setting, the phlebotomist will guide donors through the donation process, including verifying eligibility, explaining procedures, ensuring donor comfort, and monitoring any adverse reactions. The position requires strong phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal communication to ensure patient and donor safety and a positive experience.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum of one (1) year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting, including patients of all ages preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of donor center phlebotomist experience preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT I) issued by State of California

Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer service.

Pay Range: The estimated base rate for this position is $24.95 - $36.12.

Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
