The Certified Polysomnographic Technologist performs routine polysomnographic testing and related procedures under the supervision of a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or physician. This role ensures accurate data collection, patient safety, and adherence to AASM standards while providing compassionate care and education to patients undergoing sleep studies.

Certified Polysomnographic Technologist

Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO

Department: Sleep

Status: Full-Time - 36 hours/week

Shift: 12 Hour Nights

Qualifications

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred Education: Graduate of an accredited Polysomnography program is preferred.

Licensure/Certifications: Certified Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT); American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
