Job Title: Certified Respiratory Therapist | Auto Offer
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 13 Weeks (Travel Contract)
Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – ECMO Specialist to provide advanced respiratory care in a high-acuity hospital setting. This role focuses on managing ECMO systems and delivering critical care support to adult and geriatric patients.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience
  • Minimum 1 year of ECMO Specialist experience (required)
  • First-time travelers accepted (with ECMO experience)
  • Must reside 100+ miles from facility (no local candidates)
  • Pending state license accepted (must be active by start date)

Required Certifications

  • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • Active State Respiratory Therapy License

Core Skills & Experience

Critical Care & ECMO

  • VV ECMO (required)
  • Adult critical care experience
  • Protocol-driven ECMO management

Airway Management

  • Intubation and extubation assistance
  • Endotracheal tube (ETT) care
  • Tracheostomy care and suctioning
  • Oral and nasal airway placement

Ventilator Management

  • BiPAP / CPAP
  • SIMV ventilation
  • Mechanical ventilation weaning
  • Troubleshooting ventilator alarms
  • Patient transport (intra/inter-facility)

Respiratory Treatments

  • High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
  • Oxygen therapy (mask, tanks, T-piece, trach collar)
  • Aerosol therapy (mask and trach setups)

Medication Administration

  • Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent
  • Flovent, Pulmicort, inhaled steroids
  • Nitric Oxide (INo), inhaled Flolan
  • Mucomyst, Tobramycin, Xopenex
  • Racemic epinephrine

Diagnostics & Procedures

  • Arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and interpretation
  • Arterial punctures
  • Bronchoscopy support
  • Spirometry (preferred)

Patient Population & Conditions

  • Adult and geriatric patients
  • ARDS, Pneumonia, COVID-19
  • Aspiration cases
  • Fresh tracheostomy patients
