About the Position
The School Nurse plays a key role in supporting students’ health, well-being, and academic success in accordance with the French Ministry of Education’s policies.
Licensed by the Qatari Ministry of Public Health, the successful candidate will also oversee the effective operation of the school health clinic in collaboration with two nursing assistants.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care within the scope of professional competence and responsibility.
- Welcome and support any student seeking assistance for physical, emotional, psychological, or social concerns that may impact their health or school performance.
- Assess students' health needs, establish nursing diagnoses, implement appropriate interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
- Maintain and manage medical records through the school's digital platform (Pronote).
- Coordinate and monitor health prevention campaigns required by the Qatari Ministry of Public Health.
- Develop and implement health education initiatives based on identified student needs and the school's educational objectives.
- Participate in emergency preparedness and response procedures within the school community.
- Promote the health, well-being, and academic success of all students.
- Support the inclusion and educational continuity of students with chronic health conditions or learning difficulties.
- Contribute to the integration of students with disabilities through individualized support plans (PAI, PPS, PAP).
- Intervene when necessary in situations involving vulnerable or at-risk children and adolescents.
- Participate in school committees, meetings, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, and other members of the educational community to ensure student welfare.
RequirementsQualifications & Experience
- State Registered Nurse qualification (or equivalent recognized nursing degree).
- Valid professional nursing license issued by the Qatari Ministry of Public Health (mandatory).
- Active nursing practice within the last two years.
- Proficiency in French is highly desirable.
