Senior Certified Scrum Master (Large-Scale Agile Program)

Location: Lowell, Massachusetts

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Certified Scrum Master to lead and coordinate Agile delivery across a large-scale program (70–100 team members) . This role requires strong expertise in scaled Agile frameworks , cross-team coordination, and stakeholder management to ensure consistent, predictable delivery.

The ideal candidate will act as a servant leader, facilitator, and Agile coach , capable of managing multiple Scrum teams and representing the program at leadership levels.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Delivery & Facilitation

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies across multiple teams:
• Daily Stand-ups
• Sprint Planning
• Sprint Reviews
• Retrospectives
• Ensure adherence to Scrum principles as defined in the Scrum Alliance and Scrum.org guidelines
• Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and actionable insights

Scaled Team Coordination (70–100 Members)

• Coordinate delivery across multiple Scrum teams (Scrum of Scrums)
• Manage dependencies, risks, and cross-team blockers
• Align team outputs with program-level objectives and timelines

Stakeholder & Program Management

• Act as the primary interface between teams and senior stakeholders
• Provide regular updates on sprint progress, risks, and delivery forecasts
• Support Product Owners in backlog prioritization and roadmap alignment

Agile Coaching & Mentorship

• Coach teams on Agile best practices and maturity improvement
• Guide leadership on Agile adoption in large-scale environments
• Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration

Risk & Impediment Management

• Proactively identify and remove impediments impacting delivery
• Escalate critical risks and coordinate mitigation strategies
• Ensure smooth execution of releases across teams

Metrics & Reporting

• Track and report Agile KPIs:
• Velocity
• Sprint burndown
• Release progress
• Use tools like Jira, Azure DevOps for tracking and reporting

Required Qualifications

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
• 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments
• Proven experience managing large-scale teams (70+ members)
• Strong understanding of scaled Agile frameworks such as:
• SAFe
• LeSS
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and leadership skills
• Experience with Agile tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence)
