Certified Substitute Teacher (as needed)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Substitute Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in secondary education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. As a Substitute Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring that students receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting a respectful and productive learning environment.
• Engage students in meaningful activities that align with curriculum objectives.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the varying needs of students, including those with special educational needs or autism.
• Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their academic and personal growth.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Support literacy education and math skills development through interactive learning experiences.

Experience

• Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
• Background in education, special education, or related fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques is highly desirable.
• Experience in tutoring or working one-on-one with students to enhance their learning outcomes is beneficial.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
