Certified Welder

***Do not apply if you are not certified. This position requires a certified welder that can pass drug testing***

Ideal candidate will have multiple skill sets. In addition to meeting minimum qualifications for the position of Welder, the ideal candidate will possess the following critical attributes:

· Fabricate and assemble steel structures

· Produce specific components for welding according to project specifications.

· Ability to weld components in horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.

· Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, written instructions and other diagrams.

· Ability to ignite torch and adjust valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc.

· Extensive knowledge of metal fabrication processes.

· Perform quality welds that are visually appealing

· Welding Certification Required

· In-depth knowledge of reading drawings.

· Strong attention to detail resulting in quality product.

· Innovative and motivated mindset; able to work with production and design personnel to produce high quality products.

· Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all trades associated with building maintenance; a willingness to learn from others and to share knowledge.

· Commitment to exceptional customer service.

· Effectively manages time by appropriately prioritizing work enabling a high level of performance while allowing consideration for changing needs and customer demand.

· Proven safety record as demonstrated by the ability to identify safety issues and take corrective action.

· Outstanding communication skills. Bilingual preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

The equivalent of three years’ experience metal fabrication and welding.

Special Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds safely.

Must be able and willing to work outside in all types of weather conditions.

Must be able to climb and work from ladders and/or scaffolding.

Must be able to travel to various job sites throughout the Bay Area

Transportation:

Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s license with clean record and insurance

Must have reliable transportation.
