Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified Welding Inspector with strong experience in the petrochemical industry and mandatory GCC exposure. The candidate must hold valid CSWIP certification and possess sound knowledge in welding inspection and quality control procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection of welding activities in accordance with approved WPS, PQR, and ITP.
- Ensure all welding works comply with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Conduct visual inspection and coordinate NDT activities.
- Review and verify welding procedures, qualifications, and material certificates.
- Maintain inspection records and prepare quality reports.
- Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Coordinate with QA/QC team, site engineers, and client representatives.
- Monitor welding consumables handling and storage as per standards.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7 to 10 years of experience, preferably in the petrochemical industry.
- Mandatory GCC experience.
- Valid CSWIP 3.1 or CSWIP 3.2.2 certification.
- NDT Level II Certification (RT/UT/MT/PT preferred).
- Strong knowledge of international standards such as ASME, API, AWS.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical projects.
- Familiarity with client standards and inspection procedures in GCC projects.
