Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Full-Time Certified Welding Inspector for projects throughout the Florida Panhandle area with some travel throughout Florida. This position will be based from our Tallahassee, FL office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Primary duties include performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.).

Responsibilities:

• Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
• Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
• Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
• Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
• Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
• Input results and observations into daily reports

Requirements:

• Current AWS CWI is required
• NDT Level II UT Shearwave and Magnetic Particle Testing is required
• ICC certifications in Structural Masonry, Structural Steel, Reinforced Concrete are a plus
