Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Saw Operators to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various cutting and fabrication machinery, primarily utilizing saws to process sheet metal, tubing, and other materials with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that all materials are cut accurately according to specifications, supporting the overall production process. Duties

• Operate multiple types of saw equipment including CNC laser cutting machines, plasma cutters, and band saws to cut materials precisely as per engineering drawings and specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing instructions to determine cutting requirements
• Set up and calibrate saw machinery, ensuring proper tooling, safety guards, and measurement instruments are in place before operation
• Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions and quality of cut parts
• Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery of components
• Conduct quality inspections on finished parts to confirm adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards and blueprint specifications

Requirements

• TETA accredited certification and proven experience operating saws in a manufacturing or fabrication environment, with familiarity in CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, or similar machinery preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
• Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
• Knowledge of CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and tooling setup is highly desirable
• Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely when handling heavy materials or equipment
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks
• Understanding of safety protocols related to machining operations including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control during fabrication processes

Pay: $24.83 - $29.91 per hour
