YPR is a national, peer-led organization that serves youth and young adults in recovery from substance use disorder. YPR aims to improve access to resources such as housing, education and employment that sustain long-term recovery.

Chapter Vision and Overview:
Young People in Recovery (YPR) – Arapahoe Chapter is seeking a motivated and reliable Chapter Leadership Team Member to support local chapter activities and outreach efforts in Arapahoe County. This paid position combines working virtually and in-person to increase community presence, enhance engagement, and increase the Chapter’s reach to diverse and historically underserved populations. The Chapter Leadership Team Member will work to connect with stakeholders to promote recovery resources, build essential partnerships and find innovative ways to engage with diverse communities across the county.
Essential Responsibilities:
Note: This position is part-time at Flexible 10 hours per week, including occasional evenings or weekends for events.
General Responsibilities
Respond to all communications from YPR employees within 24 business hours, unless alternative arrangements have been approved in advance with the supervisor. (Includes text, phone, email, Slack, etc.)
Celebrate both large and small victories while identifying and addressing bottlenecks or barriers the chapter may be experiencing.
Comply with all YPR reporting procedures, including ADP time tracking, Concur expense reporting, Salesforce/Community updates, and census reports.
Communicate regularly with the supervisor to ensure data collection is conducted with fidelity, EPIC site implementation runs smoothly, and any challenges are effectively resolved.
Coordinate and align team members across all chapter projects, including social media marketing, community outreach, communications, financial reporting, and advocacy initiatives.
Obtain and maintain all required training and certifications as directed by the organization or supervisor, including but not limited to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA).
Social Media Management (Weekly)
Post and interact on YPR Arapahoe’s social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram) at least 3 times per week.
Respond to comments, messages, and engage with partner organizations’ posts to strengthen community connections.
Ensure branding and messaging align with YPR’s mission and guidelines.
Content Creation & Event Marketing
Design event flyers and other promotional materials using Canva.
Post flyers and announcements across all chapter platforms in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the Chapter Lead to plan and schedule promotional content.
Event Support & Outreach
General Duties
Maintain open communication with the Chapter Lead regarding schedules, events, and capacity. Including bi-weekly meetings, at minimum
Represent YPR’s mission and values in all community interactions.
Organizational Commitments
Collaborate to support and implement YPR’s strategic plan while promoting and encouraging the many pathways of recovery.
Actively champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) initiatives.
Continuously strive to improve personal performance and contribute to organizational excellence.
Use data to inform decision-making, enhance outcomes, and guide organizational development.
Perform other related duties and marginal functions as assigned.

Official Title: Chapter Member
Job Type: Part-Time; Flexible 10 hours per week, including occasional evenings or weekends for events. Combination of remote (social media) and in-person (events) work.

Preferred Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with Facebook and Instagram; comfortable and skilled in engaging with audiences online.
Basic design skills using Canva (or willingness to learn).
Reliable transportation to attend local events and access storage space.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to YPR’s mission and a passion for supporting recovery in the community.
