Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Engage with guests in a lively, friendly manner, providing personalized recommendations and ensuring an exceptional bar experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies, garnishes, glassware, and beverages efficiently.
  • Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling.
  • Ensure food safety standards are met by following proper food handling procedures during drink preparation and serving.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately while managing tabs, tips, and credit card payments with professionalism.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate serving food during events like banquets or catering functions when needed.
  • Uphold responsible alcohol service practices in compliance with legal regulations, including checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills to serve multiple guests efficiently during busy hours in a nightclub or fine dining setting.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a bartender in a fine dining restaurant, nightclub, or banquet environment is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for order processing and sales tracking.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques within the food industry.
  • Experience with serving alcohol responsibly in accordance with local laws; certification may be required.
  • Previous catering or banquet experience is advantageous for managing large groups or special events effectively.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math for sales transactions, and accurate tab management are necessary to succeed in this role.
