Job Title: Charge Hand (under the Foreman)
Department: Construction / Site Operations
Reports To: Foreman

Job Summary:

The Charge Hand assists the Foreman in supervising construction site operations. Responsible for overseeing a team of workers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and according to project specifications. Acts as a link between the Foreman and the workforce to maintain smooth workflow and high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily work of laborers and skilled tradesmen.
  • Assign tasks and ensure timely completion according to project plans.
  • Monitor quality of work to meet technical and safety standards.
  • Assist the Foreman in planning and execution of site activities.
  • Maintain discipline and ensure workers adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Report progress, challenges, and manpower requirements to the Foreman.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Train and mentor new workers as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction field.
  • Proven experience in construction or a specific trade (e.g., masonry, plumbing, electrical).
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and site procedures.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work under supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
