Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Charge Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room (OR) to lead and coordinate perioperative nursing care. In this vital role, you will oversee surgical teams, ensure adherence to sterile techniques, and facilitate seamless patient flow through various surgical procedures. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the OR team, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety during all surgical procedures.
- Coordinate preoperative assessments, ensuring comprehensive patient evaluations including vital signs, medical history, and current medications.
- Oversee aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain sterile environments in accordance with facility policies and CDC guidelines.
- Follow AORN standards for care of the operating room patients.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals to plan, prepare, and execute surgical cases efficiently.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all surgical procedures, patient assessments, and intraoperative events using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Facilitate emergency response protocols within the OR setting.
Requirements
- Valid California RN license.
- Extensive OR experience with demonstrated proficiency in surgical nursing
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a multidisciplinary team effectively.
- Excellent patient assessment skills including vital signs monitoring, diagnostic evaluation, and specimen collection/processing.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.

Pay: $62.00 - $78.00 per hour
