Job Description –
Position: Chartered Accountant Lead
Experience Required: 7-10 Years
Industry: Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC)
Location: Bangalore
Reporting To: Finance Manager / Head of Finance
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant with at least 3 years of experience in NBFC accounting and financial reporting. The candidate will be responsible for monthly book closures, financial reporting, RBI compliance, MIS preparation, audits, and related accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
A. Financial Accounting & Month-End Close
Finalize monthly books of accounts in accordance with Ind AS & NBFC accounting
standards.
Ensure accurate accounting of:
EIR (Effective Interest Rate) computation & posting
Lease accounting entries (Ind AS 116)
FD/Borrowing accounting including amortization & interest accruals.
EIS (Effective Interest Spread) analysis and reporting.
Reconcile inter-company, borrower, and lender accounts to ensure accuracy.
B. Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash
Flows).
Perform variance analysis comparing actuals vs. budgets.
Support management with business insights, profitability analysis, and scenario planning.
C. Regulatory & Compliance Reporting
Coordinate with stakeholders for data preparation for RBI filings and ensure timely
submission of returns.
Assist in preparation of regulatory reports like CRAR, ALM, and other NBFC-mandated
disclosures.
Ensure compliance with statutory guidelines and financial norms.
D. MIS, Investor & Lender Reporting
Prepare comprehensive MIS reports for management, investors, and lenders, covering:
Portfolio performance
NPA & provisioning reports
Revenue recognition trends
Capital adequacy and risk indicators.
Support investor decks, lender presentations, and operational performance updates.
E. ECL (Expected Credit Loss) & Data Finalization
Assist in ECL model data collection, validation, and reporting under Ind AS 109.
Collaborate with credit risk and business teams to ensure accurate provisioning calculations.
F. Audits & Due Diligence
Coordinate quarterly and annual statutory audits with auditors and ensure timely completion.
Handle queries from statutory, internal, and concurrent auditors.
Prepare and review schedules, supporting documents, and audit evidence.
Support due diligence exercises for investors or lenders.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory.
Minimum 3 years of NBFC accounting & reporting experience.
Knowledge of Ind AS, RBI guidelines, and NBFC regulatory framework.
Hands-on experience with:
EIR, EIS, lease accounting, borrowing entries.
ECL reporting and provisioning.
Preparation of MIS and investor reports.
Proficiency in Tally / SAP / ERP tools and advanced Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
