Key ResponsibilitiesA. Accounting & Financial Control
- Finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain GL, trial balance, journal entries, and plant-level accounts.
- Supervise accounts payable/receivable, bank & vendor reconciliation.
- Track production cost, electricity cost, scrap consumption, raw material usage.
B. Costing & Plant Finance
- Maintain cost sheet for steel/TMT production including:
- Scrap cost
- Billet/Ingot cost
- Rolling cost
- Power & Fuel cost
- Consumables & furnace materials
- Perform variance analysis (Actual vs Standard cost).
- Monitor yield, recovery %, wastage, burning loss, and process loss.
- Review BOM, production registers, heat reports, and inventory valuation.
- Support management in pricing decisions and profitability improvement.
C. Taxation & Compliance
- File all GST returns: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C, IT returns, and TDS returns.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Factory-related financial regulations, and Labour Codes (as applicable).
- Handle tax audits, GST audits, statutory audits, and department queries.
- Maintain documentation for ITC, e-way bills, and vendor compliance.
D. MIS & Budgeting
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS:
- Production report
- Costing report
- Cash flow and fund flow
- Stock summary (scrap, billets, finished goods)
- Power consumption report
- Budget vs actual analysis and forecasting.
- Support management with financial insights for decision-making.
E. Banking & Working Capital Management
- Manage CC limit, OD, LC, BG, loan proposals, and bank documentation.
- Ensure timely collection, vendor payments, and working capital cycle efficiency.
- Liaise with banks for renewals, DP statements, CMA data, stock reports.
F. Internal Control & Audit
- Implement internal controls for:
- Inventory management
- Scrap handling
- Dispatch & e-invoicing
- Cash & bank handling
- Coordinate with internal/external auditors and ensure gap closures.
- Ensure 100% compliance of statutory registers and documentation.
G. ERP & Documentation
- Operate and manage ERP/Tally for:
- Production entry
- Inventory tracking
- Cost allocation
- Financial reporting
- Ensure accuracy of plant data and digital records.
3. Required Skills & Qualifications
- CA Qualified (preferably with 2–8 years in steel/TMT/rolling mill industry).
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing costing, GST, Income Tax, and IndAS.
- Experience in plant accounts, production costing, and inventory audits.
- Ability to work with ERP, Tally Prime, or SAP.
- Strong analytical skills and high integrity.
