Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and statutory requirements
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure timely finalization of accounts and coordination with statutory auditors
- Monitor and control ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, and closing entries
2. Taxation & Compliance
- Handle GST compliance including returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9), reconciliations, and audits
- Manage Income Tax compliance including advance tax, TDS, TCS, returns, and assessments
- Ensure timely statutory filings under Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST Act, etc.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and represent the company before authorities when required
3. Audit & Internal Controls
- Coordinate and support statutory, internal, GST, and tax audits
- Design, implement, and monitor internal control systems to minimize risk and leakage
- Address audit observations and ensure corrective actions are implemented
4. Costing & Budgeting
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Analyze product costing, margin analysis, and cost optimization (especially for manufacturing operations)
- Support management in pricing decisions and profitability analysis
5. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Monitor cash flow, fund utilization, and banking operations
- Manage receivables, payables, inventory controls, and working capital cycles
- Liaise with banks for credit facilities, limits, and documentation
6. MIS & Management Reporting
- Prepare MIS reports for management review on financial performance
- Provide insights on financial health, risks, and opportunities
- Support strategic decision-making with data-driven analysis
7. ERP / Accounting Systems
- Oversee accounting systems such as Tally / ERP / Inventory systems
- Ensure accuracy of data, process compliance, and system improvements
- Support automation and process efficiency initiatives
8. Regulatory & Corporate Governance
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, ROC filings, and corporate governance norms
- Assist in board-related financial matters and documentation
9. Team Coordination
- Guide and supervise accounts executives and finance staff
- Ensure training, discipline, and process adherence within the finance team
