KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily food preparation and ensure all dishes meet Jayasom Amaala's quality and presentation standards.
- Supervise and guide kitchen staff, ensuring teamwork, motivation, and adherence to deadlines.
- Coordinate daily operations with Sous Chef and ensure effective communication on requirements and events.
- Monitor production quality, portioning, and food safety standards, including proper storage and hygiene.
- Manage purchase orders, stock control, and equipment maintenance to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain menu knowledge, control food costs, and support innovation aligned with Jayasom's culinary and wellness vision.
- Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with safety standards in all kitchen areas.
- Stay updated with culinary trends and continuously enhance menu offerings to meet guest expectations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- BA in Culinary Arts (preferred) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role in a luxury resort and in pre opening.
- Progressive experience in high quality food production.
