KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee daily food preparation and ensure all dishes meet Jayasom Amaala's quality and presentation standards.
  • Supervise and guide kitchen staff, ensuring teamwork, motivation, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Coordinate daily operations with Sous Chef and ensure effective communication on requirements and events.
  • Monitor production quality, portioning, and food safety standards, including proper storage and hygiene.
  • Manage purchase orders, stock control, and equipment maintenance to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Maintain menu knowledge, control food costs, and support innovation aligned with Jayasom's culinary and wellness vision.
  • Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with safety standards in all kitchen areas.
  • Stay updated with culinary trends and continuously enhance menu offerings to meet guest expectations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA in Culinary Arts (preferred) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a luxury resort and in pre opening.
  • Progressive experience in high quality food production.
