Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Supervise specific sections of the kitchen, overseeing food production and ensuring efficient workflow during service.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques.
  • Manage inventory control within your section, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities.
  • Lead by example in food handling, sanitation practices, and teamwork to foster a positive kitchen environment.
  • Support catering events and banquet services by coordinating food preparation and ensuring timely delivery of dishes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fine dining establishments or similar high-end culinary environments with a strong background in food production and presentation.
  • Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within a busy kitchen setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of food safety standards, dietary requirements, and allergy management.
  • Skilled in menu planning, food preparation, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
  • Experience with catering, banquet service, or large-scale event food production is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide culinary staff effectively.
